About

My name is Francesca AKA Frankie. I am a self taught sewer and upcylist living in Providence, Rhode Island. Here’s my story....

I’ve been designing, sewing, and crafting for as long as I remember. Every birthday, music festival, and concert- I was always making outfits and accessories for me and my friends. But, it always came down to one thing- stores did not have what I wanted. Nothing was ever funky enough, and not to mention- I could never find the proper size. Over the past couple of years, I found my love for thrifting but was always heading to the men’s section. I struggled finding anything my size in the women’s section. One day, I was just like “I can just do this myself” and here we are....saving the planet and still looking really cute while doing it.

I started this business in 2020 when Covid hit. I was sewing hundreds and hundreds of funky masks in the New England area, bringing a little joy wherever I could during a time where it was hard to find.

A year or so later, I came across an opportunity to sell my creations at a local craft market. From there, I started making a lot of tie dyed clothing and earrings. As the months went by, I became obsessed with selling at craft fairs and markets. I was connecting with new people, developing fun designs, and enhancing my sewing abilities.

Fast forward to 2024, my interest and passion for sustainability had started to deepen. I wanted to incorporate it into my small business. It was the missing piece to my puzzle. Now, I happily participate in over 10 markets and events each year, connect with incredible new customers and friends, and am part of a wonderful community of fellow creators.

My only hope is that when you visit my page and see my art, you feel a spark of excitement and a sense of belonging. I want to inspire you to embrace and wear funky, unique pieces that make you feel confident and expressive.

So to EVERYONE who feels excluded at big box stores AND even the thrift...you’re in the right place because I am you too!
